What Makes our Dish Wash Such a Cleaning Workhorse?

Dish wash, washing up liquid, dish soap - whatever you want to call it, can be used for all sorts of cleaning around the house and is the most versatile of all the cleaning products we sell. Not only does it clean dishes brilliantly by cutting through the dirt and grime, but it can also be used for getting soil marks out of clothes, adding to a bucket of water to wash windows or by mixing with bicarbonate of soda to make an incredible cream cleaner to use on stubborn dirty areas. It can actually be used in so many different ways, which is why we think it's our star performer. Its also made from natural ingredients so is kind to the skin unlike many commercial washing up liquids. It's also biodegradable so when it enters our waterways it won't do any harm to the environment.

But what exactly makes our dish wash so powerful? Surfactants are the real star ingredients because they attach to, and lift away grease and dirt. Surfactants are a primary component of cleaning detergents, they stir up activity on the surface you are cleaning to help trap dirt and remove it from the surface. Surfactants have a water-loving head and a water-hating tail, so the heads want to stay in water, while the tails want out as quickly as possible—inserting into and then lifting grease and oil.

By mixing dish was into bicarbonate of soda you can really create a magic cream that will lift the most stubborn of stains. You really don't need expensive products when you have trusty bicarbonate. Baking powder and dish soap make an excellent cleaning duo. The Dish Wash is great at lifting bacteria away, and the Bicarbonate of soda dissolves compounds like dirt and grease. Here are a few suggestions go how you can use this brilliant cream cleaner around the house;
